Katie Fischer

Katie Fischer was raised as the youngest of four rowdy children. She spent her early years biding her time for the day when she'd be be big enough to beat her brothers at, well…anything. A natural athlete, she was also a redhead with a temper and thought nothing of pushing and shoving on the field. She attended Northwestern University on an athletic scholarship (thank you Title IX). During college, Fischer studied art in the South of France and was exposed to one of the most prestigious photo festivals in the world, Les Rencontres D'Arles. At that point the artist within was ignited and emerged. After college she apprenticed under David LaChapelle, Steven Klein, and Craig McDean. Today she's a multi-disciplinary artist. She's shot for Vogue, T Style and Interview. Fischer is first and foremost a photographer as well as a fine-artist, comedy writer and director of music videos, commercials and feature films. She lives in Tribeca with her husband and two cats, Monty and Hue.
